To be certified as a CMA, candidates must fulfill both an education requirement and an experience requirement.
Verification of one of the following must be presented prior to completing the examination or within seven years of passing the examination in order to complete the education requirement:
- Bachelors Degree, in any area, from an accredited college or university.
- View a partial listing of international accredited institutions accepted without an evaluation.
Degrees not from accredited foreign institutions must be evaluated by an independent agency approved by the ICMA
(www.naces.org and www.aice-eval.org).
- All transcripts must be submitted in English and show the official seal of the college or university.
- Score in the 50th percentile or higher on either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
