"Cummins is a strong advocate for the CMA program, and there’s a lot of encouragement within the company to get certified. I hadn’t been with the company very long when I realized that taking the CMA would offer many advantages."

Kurt Riddle, CMA

“At Microsoft, we look for a combination of solid accounting skills, the ability to think strategically, and strong business ethics. If someone is a CMA, we can be more comfortable that the person has mastered these aspects of the profession.”

Bob Laux, CMA, CPA

“Financial analysis and decision support are central to management accounting practice, and the CMA focuses on these areas.”

David Burritt, CMA, CPA
U.S. Steel

"I believe it’s very important that people demonstrate mastery of a subject by earning an objective signal or sign that they have achieved a certain level of competency. That’s why the CMA is such an excellent certification: It shows mastery of a very broad range of subjects."

Dr. Wanda A. Wallace, CMA, CPA, CIA

“I didn’t really follow a traditional accounting path: I majored in management and economics in college…As a manager, I’ve encouraged many members of my staff to pursue their certification. I decided that it was time to lead by example and earned one myself.”

Julie A. Lagacy, CMA

"I see it as my goal to help students and to be a positive influence on their lives. I really feel like it’s my duty to tell the students about the advantages of the CMA and what it can mean to their careers."

Tips on Scheduling Your Exam Appointments

To ensure your first choice of date, time, and location, it's best to schedule your appointment at least four weeks in advance. All exam appointments must be scheduled at least 72 hours in advance of the exam date. Once you are registered, you must take the exam part during your assigned testing window. If, for any reason, you are unable to schedule an exam appointment during the assigned testing window, you will need to pay for a new registration.

If you are unable to keep a scheduled exam appointment at Prometric, you must cancel 72 hours prior to your appointment date. To cancel an exam appointment, call Prometric at (800) 479-6370, Monday through Saturday, or go to www.prometric.com/ICMA. If you don't comply with this cancellation policy, you will be considered a "no-show" and will need to re-register with ICMA and pay the registration fee again.

Refund Policy

The CMA Entrance Fee is not refundable

The examination fee is refundable within 30 days from the time you purchased the exam and if no appointment has been set with Prometric. A $25 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. We don't offer postponements of exam parts. You must sit in the testing window for which you purchased a registration.

Exam Retake Policy

An exam part may be taken only once in a testing window. All exam retakes require a new registration, along with payment of appropriate fees.

Expiration of Exam Parts
