Preparing for the Exam
The CMA program lets you proceed at your own pace. A wide range of convenient study options can help you prepare – from self-study to online instruction to live classes. ICMA (Institute of Certified Management Accountants) offers helpful resources to assess your readiness and plan your studies.
The IMA Statement of Ethical Professional Practice communicates the values and ethical standards that guide each member's conduct in the workplace and throughout the examination process. The principles of the Statement are tested on the CMA exams, and candidates are responsible for knowing its contents.
Exam Support Package
New candidates joining the CMA program receive six months free access to the Exam Support package on the IMA Learning Center, beginning on the day they pay the entrance fee. The CMA Exam Support Package includes a glossary of terms, and downloadable and printable multiple-choice and essay practice questions, for Parts 1 and 2.
One of the benefits of the CMA program is flexibility. You can study at your own pace and take the exams when you're ready. There are three ways to prepare for the CMA exam: in a live classroom, a virtual classroom, or on your own. You can select the method and materials that best match the way you like to study.
