Academic Mentors
Article Control

Academic Mentors help promote IMA’s wealth of resources to students, including:

  • Information about career opportunities as management accountants,
  • IMA’s Annual Student Leadership Conference,
  • Student Case Competition,
  • Student Chapter Award of Excellence programs;
  • The CMA credential.

Up to two people per school can serve as Academic Mentors. IMA realizes that several schools have had chapter advisors and academic mentors in the past. The Academic Mentor program recognizes the efforts and achievements of all educators who support IMA on their campus either through an accounting club or an official IMA student chapter. As a reward for your service to IMA, IMA will provide one gratis educator membership per school, in exchange for documentation of 15 active student members at the end of the school year.

We hope you will consider serving as an IMA Academic Mentor, or recommend another member of your faculty to fill this important role.

*You must be an IMA Academic Member to serve as an IMA Academic Mentor. Two faculty members can be designated as IMA Academic Mentors, but only one faculty member per campus can receive a gratis membership upon submission of the student member listing and service report each May.
