The FP&A Squad: Financial Agents for Change
By Kasthuri V. Henry, CTP
An organization that doesn’t learn from its experience—or, worse, doesn’t want to—is doomed to failure in this dynamic global economy. A talented team can mean the difference between good revenue with true growth and a seriously toxic, dysfunctional environment.
How Agile Is Your Planning?
By Rand Heer
Once you’ve made the move from Excel to a planning application, it’s essential to measure the ROI of your planning software. The author presents two classes of benefits to look at in your evaluation. Type 1 benefits create process improvements to eliminate consolidation and rollup errors, provide user security, and automate importing actuals. Type 2 benefits include insight, actionable knowledge, and number-based quality decision making. Agile planning can ensure these benefits and lead to major ROI.
The Unexpected Cost of Staying Silent
By Amy Fredin
Numbers from an international survey indicate that 34% of all companies (45% of U.S. companies) uncovered a significant economic crime during the previous 12 months. Of those willing to speak up, percentages have remained relatively constant over the past two decades at around 50% who will speak and 50% who choose to remain silent. Generally, it isn’t the significance of wrongdoing that drives some to report and some to remain silent, and women blow the whistle more often than men. Silent observers discover they have to live with their regret and the stress that accompanies it.
