Patrick Stroh talks about strategy and his book Business Strategy: Plan, Execute, Win! The idea that strategy is critical to business still has relevancy, but the associations
with strategic “exercises and experiences” haven’t fared as well. Stroh suggests that the strategy process begin with two stylistic principles: (1) Use storytelling in your presentation, and
(2) distill general concepts down to “ideas that stick.” And increasingly important is the role of the chief strategy officer (CSO), an individual responsible for facilitating strategy who works with a team to create, develop, test, and execute business strategy.
